About the event

Introduction to Horse Archery

Learn the basics of shooting a bow and arrow from the ground and how they apply riding on the horse.

The courses are designed for any level of archery or rider experience. You can borrow a horse or bring your own. This class will begin at 10:30AM FOR NEW PARTICIPANTS or those who would like refreshing off previous classes. Returning participants can opt to start practice beginning at 12PM.

  • Beginner - 10:30 AM Participants start with basics on how to shoot well on the ground, then we slowly incorporate sitting positions on a fake "horse", and train the eye for accuracy. Participants will be offered the opportunity to shoot from the back of a horse by the end of the day. If you bring your own horse, we will spend time before the start of the class on preparing them for the sounds of bows and arrows. $200 per person.
  • Novice - 12PM Participants who have taken at least three consecutive classes can opt to arrive at noon, with their assigned horse tacked up and ready to go. For those wanting to warm up or practice shooting from the ground, they can come a little early. Returning participants, please check your packet form previous classes for a discounted code.
