Beginner Kenjutsu

Service Description

Begin your journey in the samurai arts of Kenjutsu, or the art of Japanese Swordsmanship! The Iron Orchid Beginner Kenjutsu swordsmanship class introduces students to the foundations of the art including the etiquette of the sword, drawing the sword (Iiado), basic techniques, history and beginner training forms. Students start using wooden practice swords/bokken, to ensure safe and effective learning. All ages and experience welcome. Classes are held weekly on Tuesday nights at 7pm, at Tengri Farms in Wellington. Equipment provided. Students only need to bring the desire to learn.
