Beginner Tai Chi


Service Description

Join us every Tuesday evening for Tai Chi at the farm! Tai chi is a Chinese martial art form that focuses on relaxation through movement, control and awareness of the slow exercises, and the strength of internal energy management. It is a soft, internal art, which means training is gentle, slow and repetitive. Often seen practiced in parks in modern China by the elderly for the health benefits, it improves balance, muscle function and overall strength without exerting force. When applied from a martial arts stand-point, it can easily divert an opponent's strikes, alter their balance and create immense power with little use of strength. This class focuses on building the proper foundation for learning Tai Chi forms and exercises. Students should arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time in comfortable, loose clothing and athletic shoes. Classes begin with warm-up routines and then form work. Any age, experience and background is welcome.

Cancellation Policy

We hold a strict 24 hr cancellation policy; you will be charged the full amount for a call if you cancel/no-show within the 24 hr window. If you have an emergency or horse issue, contact Madison to reschedule, there is no charge for rescheduling lessons.
